Experience the magic of the Central Coast at one of the most popular wine festivals in San Luis Obispo County.
Formerly known as the Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival, the Central Coast RESERVE is still a festival in Atascadero, lakeside, and bolstered by winemakers from one of the best wine regions in the world.
The change in branding to “RESERVE” reflects a change in attitude, as well as a change that has been brewing for a couple years. The RESERVE brings together a menu of wine, beer and spirits and the serenity that is built into the Atascadero Lake Park. With large, shady oak trees and soft, rolling hills, the park provides a getaway from the rising temperatures that come with the summer solstice.
The weekend starts with the annual Winemaker’s Dinner on Friday, June 21. Saturday’s festivities begin with the Optimist Club golf tournament at Chalk Mountain, or join Kennedy Club Fitness for a yoga and HIIT workout.
The official festival starts at 4 p.m., but special offers can get you in hours earlier for the right price.
Three admission levels provide the right kind of experience for all comers. General Admission, General Admission Plus, and Deluxe (Magic Behind the Glass) offer a custom experience.
Stroll the idyllic lakeside park, sipping your choice of beverage and shopping any of several artisan vendors while listening to live music.
RESERVE is a fundraiser for the Charles Paddock Zoo, which will be open for sightseeing and more tasting, food and music inside.
Among the wineries pouring at the RESERVE will be Tooth & Nail, Hoyt Family Vineyard, Derby Wines, and Ancient Peaks. Bristol’s Hard Cider and Tin City Cider will be pouring the apple varieties. Firestone Walker and Barrel House will be pouring the local drafts.
Tickets to the RESERVE are now available at centralcoastreserve.com.
